I have had the pleasure of knowing Nese Yurtcu since 2016. I attended her cookery classes for both Turkish and expatriate women and men.

Nese is a certified cook and has a wealth of knowledge pertaining to Turkish food recipes and their historical background. All too often, the heritage of where recipes originate from get forgotten, but Nese gives us a synopsis of each recipe’s background which is very useful as many of us come from different countries. The classes are superbly structured and hands-on which I like. Instead of just watching a demonstration, Nese encourages you to make a given recipe following written instruction and practical involvement. Classes are small and informal which helps create an atmosphere of fun learning rather than being afraid of making mistakes. I have acquired not only culinary skills but like-minded friends who love to cook.

Nese has a warm, friendly personality which puts you at ease. A lot of pre-thought and planning goes into each class which adds to highlight her professionalism. It is evident that she loves to teach and this is reflected by how popular her classes are.
